Winter Party at Beam Park

On 1st December over 100 Beam Park residents came together on Beam Park Square for the Christmas Tree Light Switch On and festive fun despite sub zero temperatures.

Each resident who registered to attend was entered into the raffle for Christmas Gifts donated by stakeholders. Emmanuel Primary School donated children’s books, 100 selection boxes were provided by contractors and a fabulous John Lewis food hamper was donated alongside luxury chocolate boxes.

Whilst a keyboard vocalist rocked the stage with a merry playlist, an Arts and Crafts table was set for festive decoration making next to a face painting station for the little ones. Santa himself was ofcourse present at his grotto where children queued to have a photo with Santa and receive a Christmas gift.

The Juicebox London provided hot drinks and mulled wine and tasty snacks including mince pies and muffins. To end the wonderful evening, children sang Christmas carols around the tree before the big switch on.

Festive Celebration at Fresh Wharf

Over in Barking, slightly later into the month, we held our second Festive Celebration on Drydock Square at Fresh Wharf. We partnered with the on-site café – Triple Two Coffee to cater the event and invited all residents to eat, drink and be merry! Residents from Folio, Countryside Properties and Simple Life London gathered to meet their neighbours, enjoy some live music and seasonal treats on a Sunday in Mid-December.

Despite some extremely wet weather the number of residents in attendance increased throughout and more importantly they hung around with their families to enjoy the festivities, part of which was Alex and his festive plant stall who commented ‘Victor the musician was excellent and the complex had a good community spirit – thankfully there were a lot of plant lovers which made my night even more successful’
