This will be particularly well used as sadly some of the gifts were stored for some families in the church overnight and managed to be rifled through so we have had to replace gifts for about 14 families!
We have provided coats, shoes ,gifts and food for 109 local children so far with another request this morning.
Wishing you and your team a lovely Christmas.” Anne aka chief elf

We were incredibly grateful to be nominated for Day 1 last year, so to be selected again for this year’s 12 Days of Christmas campaign is truly appreciated. Please pass on our thanks to everyone at Simple Life Homes and to the residents who put our name forward.

Day 9 West Yorkshire Dog Rescue – Ashfield resident
“HUGE THANK YOU for your kind offer of donation. Financially, it is hard for us as a small Charity, often donations are sent to the biggest and we are overlooked. We do not use kennels, neither do we pay people who work in the rescue side of the business (The Charity Shop Manager gets a salary from shop income). This means every penny donated goes directly for the dogs. Vet bills are our highest expenditure, as we do all necessary treatment before they are adopted including neutering and microchipping.” Kathy Trout
Day 10 Headlight Project – Stockton on Tees resident
“Thank you for your email. We are delighted the Headlight Project has been selected by a resident in your Simple Life Homes. Please pass on our gratitude to the kind resident.
A donation of this size goes such a long way in our charity. Your kindness is helping us continue our vital work, providing one-to-one counselling for individuals and families who have been bereaved by suicide and delivering preventative education across the Tees Valley. Every donation allows us to reach more people with the care, support, and tools they need to navigate incredibly difficult times and to help prevent future tragedies. We are so grateful for the generous donation.” Anne Events & Fundraising Team, Headlight Project
Day 11 Simon Says – Whitely Meadows, Hampshire resident
“Well, what a wonderful email to receive – thank you so very much!! I wonder who it was that nominated us. How very kind of them. This is especially poignant for us as 2026 represents our 25th year of operating, supporting bereaved children and their families in Hampshire – so thank you so much for getting our year off to a great start!” Rhian Sewell, Head of Fundraising
